Frequently Asked Questions

Check out why so many professionals choose ezZip

ezZip supports compressing multiple files or folders individually. How-to: 1. Select multiple files/folders in the file navigator 2. Right-click -> Select "Compress Individually with ezZip" 3. Compression is carried out individually for each filename or folder name.

To decompress split compressed files, all split files must be located in the same folder with consistent filenames. Example: example.zip.001, example.zip.002, example.zip.003 etc. Double-click the .zip.001 file and it will automatically recognize all split files and decompress. ※ Note: Decompression may fail if some files are missing or filenames are inconsistent.

ezZip supports custom size settings for split compression to accommodate an array of platforms and environments. You can input your desired file size directly, or use one of our convenient preset options, created based on major transfer/storage media standards. Preset options are as follows: - Email attachments: Naver Mail (10MB), Gmail (25MB), Large files (2-4GB) - Sharing to social media/blog: KakaoTalk (300MB), Naver Cafe (50MB) - Storage: CD (650MB), DVD (4.7GB), etc. - Cloud upload: Up to 10GB (N Drive etc.) You can also freely set your own desired file size by entering values directly, allowing you to adapt flexibly to any situation that may arise.

1. How to set a password during compression: Run ezZip and click the "Compress" button. After adding files, enter the desired password in the "Set Password" input field at the bottom. Click the "Compress" button again to complete the process. 2. How to use a pre-registered password (Password Management function): Run ezZip, click "Settings" and select "Password Management". Press the "Add" button to input a password name and content. Registered passwords can be easily selected through a dropdown menu during compression. ※ The Password Management function allows frequently used passwords to be applied quickly and conveniently by pre-registering them.

ZIP is the most widely used compression format in the world, and compatibility with different platforms and software is very important. ezZip creates compressed files based on the standard ZIP format to generate compatible ZIP files that can be decompressed by other programs. In addition, we have plans for extended format and proprietary format support to respond flexibly to situations where files require functionality that cannot be represented in the standard ZIP format. We also strive to ensure decompression is being improved continuously and complies to the fullest with current standards to prevent compatibility issues.

How to automatically open target folders after decompression: Run ezZip -> Click "Settings". 1. Go to the "Action After Decompression" tab. 2. Check "Automatically Open Target Folder After Decompression".

Passwords set on compressed files are user-configured information for enhanced security, so ezZip cannot verify or recover those passwords. If the password is lost, decompression is not possible. We apologize for any inconvenience. It is highly recommended to safely store the password separately during compression, or register it through the Password Management function.

You can enable or disable Error Checking in the "Settings" menu. We recommend setting it as default if you require safer file compression.

I compressed a file on the desktop, but the compressed file is saved to a different folder instead. Why does this happen? The reason compressed files are saved to a different folder instead of the desktop is because the file is actually stored in a specific folder other than the desktop. This is due to a Windows system policy, and the same thing occurs in other compression programs. You can specify the file save location to the desktop or the desired folder before compressing the file to ensure that the compressed file will be saved there: 1. Select the "View File Name Location" option in the "Compress" window. 2. Specify the desired location. 3. Click the "Compress" button to compress the file.

ezZip supports convenient drag and drop functionality, as follows: When decompressing a compressed file: 1. Run ezZip. 2. Select the compressed file. 3. Drag and drop the compressed file into the ezZip window. 4. Drop the file in the "Open Archive" or "Extract Archive" section to initiate the desired operation. When adding files to compress: 1. Run ezZip. 2. Select the regular file or folder you want to compress. 3. Drag and drop the file into the ezZip window. 4. Compress the file by dropping it in the "Compress" section. The drag and drop method is designed to be easy to use for beginners, allowing anyone to compress/decompress files without any complicated procedures.

Yes, dark mode is supported on both PC and mobile to reduce eye strain during extended use.
